Education Cartoon

This week's topic for our blogger had to be a political cartoon. I decided to make it based on education. As far as I understand from this education cartoon is that a student is comparing himself to another student bragging that his school is number one. If you see closely the students sign say that his school is voted at a low rate and the other student as well and both are from different states. Other states students are considering to drop out. My opinion for this cartoon is that because school's dont have as many resources and thats why they are voted at a low rate because students may think that no money is spent on them so why they have to put up with all this if no interest is given to them. In the other hand millions of money is spent in unecessary necessities when in our country students are our number one priority because we are the future generation. So far this is what i got to understand for this cartoon.

escaped a knockout blow by Barack Obama.

Hillary Clinton dodged a knockout blow by Obama by winning in Tuesdays primaries in Ohio, Texas, and in Rhodes Island while Obama wins Vermont. with the winning upset Obama only chance to stay in the race is by winning Pennsylvania. Pennsylvania is the last big state. whoever wins this election is most likely to become the democratic nominee to run against Republican john McCain. After winning the biggest prizes in the February 5 Super Tuesday contests, the New York senator and former first lady dropped 11 straight primaries and caucuses to Obama and watched her leads in Ohio and Texas dwindle to single digits in published polls. Obama supporters began calling for her to quit the race. Her husband former President Bill Clinton to the media that her wife was not gonna be able to win with out those states. i feel likeif she wants to win the election she gonna have to step up her game and prove to everybody that she can make it! she needs to improve her campaign.

Castro May Not Be Exiting the Stage Completely

Wow! The title of this article says it all. It is not a for sure issue that Fidel Castro is not going to be president anymore. The Democracy of this particular country does not have a powerful authority like other countries do. It is not known yet if Cuba is going to stay communist due to the act that they are not sure were is Fidel Castro's destination going to be. It is said that Raul Castro, who happens to be Fidel Castro's brother (age: 76) might take over his brothers position as a president. If this were to happen Raul Castro wants to fix the dillema that has been ocurring between Cuba and The United States. Issues have been insinuated that regardless of who take's Fidel's Spot as president Fidel will still have powerful positions and may still be recognized as the leader of the communist party. This dillema affects the country because im pretty sure that the community want to have rights and want for all this communist issue to be abolished an let someone else have the actual chance to take over the country.

1,000 Journalists Killed in 10 Years While Reporting

Oh my god! This article catched my attention because it relates to journalists that have been murdered in the past ten years. It's a big shocking for me because I would have never thought that this world can be so cruel and harsh among others. Reporters/ Journalists get murdered because of the fact that they are investigating issues. The highest number of people that were killed comparing genders; are the men. Every year this situation keeps growing more because of the fact that from one certain period, by the next one there is a number difference of victims that have been murdered meaning that the rate increases. The worst countries that are constantly dead people are in Iraq, Russia and Colombia. This aspect is sad because no one should take anyone's lives away it's all based on human rights. In most of these cases the suspects were never found or they were not identified. Due to the fact that reporters were writing about issues that have been updated people decide to take their lives away.

Clinton And Obama to Compete For Texas Hispanic Vote

click here! This current event had to do with the elections that were held on "super tuesday"(february 5th, 2008). In the majority of states hispanics are the highest rates of people that are registered. Basically hispanics are making a decision of who to vote. The highest percentage of votes goes to Hilary Clinton than Barack Obama. Clinton in many popular states has taken the most votes. Barack Obama, in the other hand has not been on the lead there was an edge in his hometown Illinois by one percent Barack Obama would've taken the most votes in that particular state.
"Clinton and Obama to Compete for Texas" basically this shows that both of these particular candidates; are getting voted in the second most popular state after California. Obama is hoping to get victory and a thing that he's going to do for this to happen is for him to promote himself even more so the hispanics can have the chance to get to know him. This election is going to be held March 4th, 2008.
